New City Hall Construction Updates

On September 16, 2025, the City of Fort Lupton broke ground on the new City Hall, located at the corner of 9th Street and College Avenue. The City Council, city staff, community members, representatives from Clark & Enersen, and GH Phipps Construction Companies were present to celebrate this milestone.

This 18,655-square-foot facility will:
• Provide space for city growth.
• Offer residents the convenience of accessing multiple services in one location.
• Provide adequate space for public meetings.

The building remains on schedule for mid-October completion.

March 13, 2026

New City Hall Construction Update - March 13, 2026

The project keeps moving forward as construction crews have finished the roof decking and are now proceeding at full speed with exterior framing. They are also pouring sidewalks along 9th Street and College Avenue. Additional concrete has been poured for stoops at the building entrances and for equipment pads inside the mechanical rooms. Native seeding is scheduled to take place this week along the storm drainage and detention ponds to complete that area.

The building remains on schedule for mid-October completion.

The new City Hall will be located at the southeast corner of 9th Street and College Avenue.


February 24, 2026

New City Hall Construction Update - February 24, 2026

Framing began this week. The building is starting to take shape as steel stud framing is installed. Roof decking continues and should wrap up later this week. The project is slightly ahead of schedule thanks to the favorable weather.

The building remains on schedule for mid-October completion.

February 13, 2026

New City Hall Construction Update - February 13, 2026


Great weather has kept the building project moving forward strongly. This week, roof decking is being installed, electrical transformers are now in place, and steel stud framing around the upper areas has also been completed.

Roof decking should be finished by late next week. The building remains on schedule for mid-October completion.

The steel structure is nearing completion. Storm drainage is complete and through inspections. Roof decking to start to go on next week weather permitting.

Site update: The steel structure is nearing full completion and it's starting to really take shape!

Storm drainage systems are fully installed and have passed all inspections.

The steel columns are going up and getting securely tied together—the structure is starting to rise!

The storage area and vault are now complete, and we're moving on to the trash enclosure and monument sign.

Starting to go vertical with the new City Hall!

We've completed the storage areas and vault. Next up: steel delivery and erecting the outer frame which will begin next week.

All underground work is finished, and the crews are making excellent progress thanks to this great weather.

New City Hall Update - January 6, 2026


Big progress on site this week! The concrete slab is done and looking solid!

Crews are prepping to pour stoops for the riser, electrical, and mechanical rooms. Next up: cement block walls for the storage room and vault, followed by the trash enclosure and monument sign.

Steel delivery incoming in the next couple weeks – get ready for the frame to rise! Most underground work is wrapped up too.

We're moving full speed ahead and on schedule for October 2026 completion!

New City Hall Project Update – November 21, 2025


Excellent progress on site this week:

• Concrete foundation walls will be fully completed this week, with the final pour taking place today.

• Damp-proofing of the foundation walls is scheduled to begin next week.

• Sanitation rough-in is now complete.

• Underground plumbing and electrical installations are actively progressing.

• Void form installation will follow shortly, after which we will finalize scheduling for the slab-on-grade pour, targeted for early December.

• The foundation phase is on track and moving forward smoothly.

New City Hall Construction Update - November 7, 2025


Foundation walls are being excavated, with rebar installed and concrete poured in sections. The first two sections will be completed this week, followed by the last two.

Underground utilities continue, including placement of water lines, power sleeves, and sewer lines for the building. Site grading is ongoing.

October 2025:

On October 24, 2025, just over a month after the groundbreaking for the new City Hall at the corner of 9th Street and College Avenue, crews have nearly completed grading and have installed 122 concrete piers for the foundation. They have also begun installing utilities. In the coming weeks, steel floor beams for the foundation will be installed as crews continue forming the foundation walls.
